WORD AND POWER SERVICE (SUN. 23RD OCTOBER 2022).

MESSAGE SERIES: WORKING THE WORD THROUGH FAITH WITH Daddy-ken A. Bitere

KEY SCRIPTURE: JAMES 1:22-25.

We have established from the introductory part of the teaching series that the believer walks by faith.

Many people come to church but never get blessed. In 2 PETER 1:3, we see that God has made everything available for the believer, and that it is through knowledge we gain access, PHILEMON 1:6. We don't access God with sense knowledge, but with faith, (See HEBREWS 12:6). Faith is only active where the Word of God is known. You can never become what you have not believed in. There are two forces are responsible for your every prayers to be answered - God and Satan. Your responsibility as a believer is to dream while God does the exceeding. The reason the Bible used the word "exceeding" is simply because God is supersonic, He's Omnipotent, and He gives beyond our thought capacity, (ROMANS 8:32).

In the four gospel, the Bible made mention of great and little faith. Now, notice that all the teachings of Christ in the four gospel before His death where about Himself, (LUKE 24:24-44). So, when the words great and little faith were used, it refers to their level of knowledge they have about God at that time. Faith is not a definition as we have been taught, faith is a person - Christ. When we got born again, we received faith which is the fullness of God, COLOSSIANS 1:19). Peter explained that faith does not grow but it is our knowledge that grows, (See 2 PETER 3:18).

The Word of God does not need our help to function, it is self-helped. HEBREWS 4:1-6 tells us that the reason the Word didn't profit the Children of Israel is because of their faith. It is one thing to hear the Word and another thing to function in it. Anything you do outside of faith is a sin, the believer walks in faith everything about the believer is faith-based. Your effectiveness in your work of faith is a product of your revelation of Him. The believer, therefore, lacks nothing, (COLOSSIANS 1:13-16; 2 CORINTHIANS 1:20).

In the school of faith, we see before we receive. The Gospel is the strength of faith.

Thank you for staying in fellowship.
