MESSAGE TITLE: PRACTICING THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT IN THE FAMILY WITH Daddy-ken A. Bitere
KEY SCRIPTURE: 2 TIMOTHY 3:14-17.
There's something about what you say concerning yourself. You are the best preacher to you. Don't just say things because of what you think you have, say things because of where you are going. The things you cannot have now shouldn't define your life; you are what the Word of God says you are. The way you feel doesn't change the things God has said about you. In ISAIAH 1:18, God began to paint the pictures of the New Creature in Christ, that; irrespective of your state or the things that will cause distractions, you can still approach Him. Your joy shouldn't be seasonal. Allow only the word of God to rule and define you, not the things around you. There is a blessing in obeying instruction, ISAIAH 1:19.
You don't come to God on the basis of your natural senses, because you cannot access God in the flesh, so your coming to God must be on the basis of WHO He is to you as a result of what Christ did on the cross for you. God does not give information, He gives instruction. God's instructions are within the confines of righteousness. For your family to excel, there must be a place of giving heed to the Word of God, COLOSSIANS 2:6; 3:16. Marriage is the root to raising a God centered home. Practising the things of the Spirit begins in the family, that's why the Bible uses the word "train" in PROVERBS 22:6.
FACTS ABOUT MARRIAGE.
1. A bad relationship is the reason for a bad marriage. Any relationship that is self-centered will certainly be in jeopardy. Whatever you cannot correct in your relationship will certainly become an issue in the marriage. Whatever you cannot fix during courtship will take up root in the family.
2. Beautiful marriage are not far from good relationships.
3. Beautiful relationships are not far from producing good marriages....
