MESSAGE SERIES: PRACTICING THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT WITH Daddy-ken A. Bitere

KEY SCRIPTURE: 2 TIMOTHY 3:14-17.

There is the need for the believer to practice the things of the Spirit - the place of doing the Word. The Bible is an action book (JAMES 1:22-27). The more you practice the things of the Spirit, the better you become. Ministry is growth and growth happens when you give yourself to practicing the things of Spirit; You become effective. God has gifted you, it is your responsibility to put those gift to use. The day you heard the voice of God, was not the day He called you, you were called the day you got born again as a believer - called to proclaim the Gospel (MARK 16:15; COLOSSIANS 4:17). Your functionality in THE CALL, is as a result of your constant study, which helps build capacity (2 TIMOTHY 1:19, 2:15). You are only perfect in a field you are wired for. Fulfilment is seeing to the joy of other people, it means ensuring the joy of others. Ministry is about others; when we use the gift of the Spirit, we manifest the fruits of the Spirit.

Worship is service, worship is honor. Our worship is a response of the revelation of who CHRIST is. According to JOHN 4:28-32, the Scripture makes us to understand that worship must be in the Spirit. It is by faith we walk with God. The believer who operates in the spirit, dwells in the realm of God where there is no deficiency or impossibility. In EPHESIANS 2:10, Paul called the believer the handiwork, the word is derived from the Greek word "POIĒMA" it means you are the proof of work. It also means you are the best God has produced. God showed forth Himself in the image He created, GENESIS 1:26. The believer is created in Christ, to fit God and fit into God.
