WORD AND POWER SERVICE (SUN. 3RD JULY 2022).
MESSAGE SERIES: THE IN-CHRIST REALITIES WITH Daddy-ken A. Bitere
KEY SCRIPTURE: JOHN 15:1-9.
Most of the times, believers don't know their right and privileges they have in Christ. Born Again gave us access to the free things God has been available. At New Birth, everything that Christ has became ours. The believer is engrafted in Christ, the believer and Christ are inter-twin, interwoven or inseparable.
In the opening Scriptures where we read, the writer makes us know the relationship between the believer and God and in EPHESIANS 1:1-7; Paul said we are blessed of the father in countless ways thus the blessing is immaterial. This is supported by Peter, in 1PETER 2:9. Born Again is the initiation into God's family. The moment you got Born Again, your old nature ceases to exist, automatically the Spirit of God takes over you.
The terms "In-Christ" "In Whom", "In Him", "Through Him" "By Him" etc were used by Paul in the Epistles, you cannot find these terms in the four Gospel. These terms only relate to the union that exist between Christ and the believer, 2CORINTHIANS 5:14-21.
Christianity is a finished work and Christians are the product of that finished work. Christianity is not what you can do for God. Christianity is what God has done. Infact, man does not have the capacity to do anything for God. The Gospel is God became like us for the purpose of redemption. Christ didn't just die for us but He died as us.
To be "In-Christ" means identification. ISAIAH 64:1-10 tells us that God was pleased with Jesus' death.
To be cont. Thank you for staying in fellowship with us.
